Pales
:
The pales to be 2,7m long. The front edge to be curved
at 40mm dia. Tapering to 100mm at the back with a breadth
of 140mm minimum and the width 85mm from the front radius
to 90mm. Each pale to have one cut out to take the horizontal
rail. Each pale to be reinforced with 3 x R5,5x 2,2m
long steel bars. 11 pales per 2,0m section mass each
66Kgs
Beam
:
At the base of the pales a 200mm wide x 150mm deep concrete
beam is cast insitu to secure the pales, being embedded
in the beam a minimum of 50mm. Except where the ground
surface is rock, concrete, tarmac, paving block or other
unexcavatable material the beam will be installed below
ground level.
Concrete
:
Concrete strength to all precast items to be a minimum
of 30 MPa at 28 days.
Exposed
Aggregate : The off shutter surfaces of the
concrete on the Posts and Pales to have the aggregate
exposed for an aesthetically pleasing finish. The colour
of the stone can be either Pink or Blue stone.
Additional
Information :
Installation : Foundations to be 400mm x 400mm x 600mm
deep, 15 MPa concrete. Posts are spaced at 2,0m centres
and are slotted to take a horizontal rail. The pales
are hooked over the top rail and the open groove below
the rail is then caulked with a 2:1 sand cement grouting
mix.
During the concrete casting process, the product is
placed on a high frequency vibrating table thus giving
a high density concrete , extremely impervious to water. |
